Studying the Influence of Technology Stream on the Sri Lankan Education System

The technology stream implemented in Sri Lankan government schools aimed to bridge gaps in subject stream selection, providing students with theoretical and practical knowledge for success in the changing work environment. The objectives of this study were to (i) assess the employment status of university graduates from the technology stream, (ii) evaluate the curriculum, and (iii) examine the practical components in government schools. A questionnaire form was circulated among the first and second batches of graduates of technology faculties using email and WhatsApp, and the obtained 103 responses were analyzed through Microsoft Excel.
