Due to the rapid rise in the need for energy, the use of fossil fuels is also increasing. It impacts the environment. The world is now searching for alternatives. Solar energy is one of the most promising, renewable, eco- friendly, green, and alternative energy sources. However, to supply enough energy, the technologies should be improved, and we have to find new technologies to increase solar energy production to fulfil the global energy demand. This study mainly focuses on the solar energy technologies that are now available worldwide and discusses the improvements and future views of those technologies: concentrated solar power technology and photovoltaic solar energy technology.
