A Handwriting-Based IoT Control System for Speech-Impaired Users Using LLMs and Edge Devices

Communication barriers remain a critical challenge for individuals with speech impairments, often limiting their ability to interact with their environment and control everyday devices. Existing assistive technologies mainly rely on voice, touch or gesture-based interfaces, which may not be suitable for all users due to physical or cognitive limitations. In this paper propose a novel handwriting-based Internet of Things (IoT) control system designed specifically for speech-impaired users.
